It was not supposed to rain today. I had plans to put a coat or two of primer on the exterior trim of my kitchen windows. I started stripping & repairing this trim last fall and finished up a few weekends ago. Now I have my fingers crossed that it will stop raining long enough for the wood to dry before we get hit with snow. Stress.

I'm in exactly the same position a few blocks over - we have three sides of our garage stripped and the weather does not look cooperative. Especially with how cold it's supposed to be when the rain finally lets up! I'm sweating it out along with you.
I sympathize with you! I am in the same boat - waiting for the rain to stop long enough so I can paint my window trim. Plus I still have to fit my new storm windows and paint them as well. Did this really have to be the month that we make up our drought deficit?!
Oh my! It's wood rot like that that gives me nightmares. Last summer we gave all the trim on our house a good coat of primer/sealer. Let's hope it lasts another hundred years!
I'm wishing the weather turns as well-for you & I both!
Okay - I may have been whining about my ceiling but you definitely have it worse. Here's hoping for a extended warm fall for you!
