In a stroke of luck, I ran across a vintage stove top Tappan griddle to buy. This griddle will sit on one front & one back burner on my Tappan Deluxe.
The photos show a lot of smudges in the griddle. but those cleaned up really well. It's in very good condition.
I have no idea if this was the version sold with my stove, but it will work. The Tappan Deluxe Owners Manual I have shows a griddle that sits only on the front burner.

I was going to email you this, but I can't seem to find your email address. I was continuing my search for the perfect toilet, now that I've found a good plumber, and I came across this mint green gem on your local craigslist. It was so great that I had to give you a heads up.
Wow! That is really awesome.
I don't know if you read Pioneer Woman - she recently posted a recipe for perfect pancakes. I bet they'd be great on your new griddle.

I have one like that (not Tappan, though). I LOVE it! It makes GREAT pancakes.
Christopher - Trust me, stick with vintage. I hate, hate, hate my new toilet. Very cool set. It makes me kind of sad to look through CL for that reason. My dream bathroom has pink fixtures.
NV - Thanks :-)
Kathy - I'll have to check it out. I do have a German recipe for pancakes from my mom....and a cake pancake recipe my dad always has made. But, I'm always willing to try new versions!
Jennifer - It's heavy as all get out. I'm glad to hear your rave reviews. It looks like it was meant for pancakes!
