This afternoon I picked up the awning fabric, storm door shade that I ordered a few weeks ago. I like it.
(Yeah, I know I *still* need to paint the frame of the storm door glass insert gray.)

The shade really looks great from inside and out. And your copper drip edge is patinizing nicely. All your attention to the front entrance it really paying off.

It's very cheery - it just makes me smile. Now I think I need shades for my enclosed porch. Another thing for the ever-growing list....
I have to admit, the stripey shades are not my thing at all but these look pretty damn good at your place.
Thanks for the kind comments. I really do like the shade. It's a very subtle change that adds a little personality to the entryway.
It's crazy how the yellow colors photograph. They actually are pretty muted (see the shade laying in the floor inside)... but somehow when I take a photo in the sun, the yellows look alarmingly bright.
