Like every other responsible citizen who has taxes due and has waited until the last minute.....tonight I'm browsing through the Friends School Plant Sale catalog. Do I need some blackberry plants?
The sale this year is May 9, 10 & 11.
I've written about my adventures at this sale in past years.
And I've said it once and I'll say it again.....their catalog is like a guidebook on plants for northern climates......and it can be downloaded.

I'm already formulating a plan of action for the Friends School plant sale. Some friends have encouraged me to get there on Friday, which sounds good to me after a few years of picking from the Saturday leftovers.
this is random but i read a post from 2007 about your problems with your original drip edge - i see you have the beautiful copper one now... how did you end up getting that fixed?
i love your blog -- i am on a similar quest to fix up my stucco home (1920). your blog is giving me inspiration!
I have a list all ready-made! A month in advance isn't too early, right?
Josh - I go on Friday every year. Last year we went and it was so crowded, we went and had lunch and returned later. I'm not big into crowds and even less into lines. I do think they refurbish the supply every day. The only thing I've missed out on by going later is heirloom tomatoes and I even got those last year...
Ashley - If you do a search or hit the lable "drip edge" you will see my drip edge saga in excruciating detail :-) It was a lot of work & rework, but it turned out well. Good luck on your stucco house!
Ellen - I too have a list :-)
